The 9kg ABE (Dry Chemical Powder) fire extinguisher high performance is a big seller and the largest in our range of hand held portable dry chemical powder ABE fire extinguishers. It comes complete with hose and a wall bracket for easy installation. The 9.0KG is very popular on construction sites and in the industrial workplace, it is often mounted on larger trucks and boats with galvanized brackets.

GENERAL INFORMATION

ABE Dry chemical powder (DCP) fire extinguishers are a highly versatile fire extinguisher. Great for combating most types of fire risks A, B, C, and E. They are often referred to as ABE/DCP Dry Chemical Powder Fire Extinguisher. Dry chemical powder fire extinguishers are safe, versatile, and suited to high-risk environments or where the fire hazards are mixed. They are well-suited for use on fires involving flammable liquids and flammable gases. ABE dry chemical powder fire extinguishers do not conduct electricity, which makes them effective for use on electrical fires.

DCP type extinguishers are the most versatile and on the whole most common fire extinguisher used as they cover a large range of fire classes. They are suited to high risk environments that have mixed fire hazards. ABE dry powder fire extinguishers are not a conductor of electricity so they are safe and effective on electrical fires as well as flammable liquids and gases.

WHERE NOT TO USE

This dry powder fire extinguisher is not recommended for use on or nearby sensitive equipment such as computers etc. The residue can be vacuumed up once it has dried but it can be hard to remove if it has contacted a very hot surface.

This fire extinguisher is not suitable for fires involving cooking oil/fats.
